This surge protector can be used in one outlet for both washer and dryer. Works perfectly. The outlet does have a GFCI. The service tech recommended that Best Buy carried this product.

The only thing I didn't realize is there's a "Protected" light on the front of this to show it's working that may be distracting in a dark room, but if you put this behind furniture as it's intended it won't be an issue.
