Of course i dont think i had any issues before i bought it either but thats not the point. Its either doing a great job or waiting for the moment when it can prove it is doing a great job. Either way i like it and i hope i never have to truely put it to the test.

A traditional large surge protector would not work for this situation. This one has a flat design that allows it to sit not that far off the wall and with the plugs on the side, the cords also do not stick out off the wall which allows you to push your tv further back against the wall for a more flush look. It also has a decent joule rating for surge protection for this type of item. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

I got this to put it behind a wall mounted TV. Good price. I hope it protects the TV if I ever get a big power surge.
