We only used ours once a week for a couple hours at most (i.e., ~ 2 hours each use), and it went bad after about 15 months. It could be a workmanship issue with the USB power connection, but I am not positive. We did not need to unplug the item or move it, i.e., it stayed pretty much in the same location/position once we installed it. However, when the signal started dropping more regularly, we think we traced it back to the USB as wiggling the connection seems to do something (and it's not the cord). We bought Rocketfish because it's a brand we know and expected to last, but we could have purchased one of the disposable no name brands and gotten the same life out of it for half the cost.

It did not take anything away from the viewing picture when compared to hooking it up directly to the TV.

My laptop only had one HDMI out, so the splitter lets me use 2 monitors plus the laptop monitor

Great HDMI splitter that works

It cost a bit more then what I would expect, but worked great so it was worth it to me.

It does a nice job.

Exactly what I needed

I tried a cheaper brand from another store and it didn’t work right. This was more expensive, but works flawlessly making it worth it.
