I have tried some other less expensive splitters and the all seem to not provide equal quality. I use this splitter to split a HDMI signal from a Video Camera, to a small Monitor and the input of A Blackmagic ATEM Mini Production Video switcher. I have three Cameras, three Monitors and three Rocketfish Hooked up to my ATEM Mini. It all works fine.

I have this hooked up to my security cameras, one monitor in the living room and the other in the bedroom. I also have the same setup in the bedroom with my 55" tv and 32" tv. If you want to watch the big tv you can or just the small one. or Both at the same time.
