Won't work with multiple HDCP standards

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a newer TV(HDMI 2.0/HDCP2.2) and an older receiver(HDMI 2.0 passthrough/HDCP 1.4). I bought this hoping I could use this and get 4K HDR to the TV and get more than regular Dolby Digital audio to my receiver. It did not work for my purpose. The device support HDCP 2.2 (and previous versions) but it can't negotiate more than one version at a time between both output ports. So I either got picture or audio but never both.

I now have a new splitter and my crazy system works once again. I am totally dependent on Geeks because I don't know how to install any of these clever gadgets.

Great 4K SPlitter!

I have not experienced any signal loss and the video signal is strong. If you are looking to do the same you need a powered splitter...NOT PASSIVE.

Lost the last one in a couple power outages we experienced. Ordered on Monday and it was delivered on Tuesday morning. Extremely quick delivery and worked perfectly. Very simple to install.
