A must buy for an old house!

Absolute must buy if you own an old house! I had multiple issues with my coaxial network at my 1979 house. The internet connection to the modem was dropping, and MOCA wouldnt work. I called my internet provider but they were lost and didn't fix it despite charging a fee. After doing extensive internet research, learning about coaxial signal, and analyzing the signal db received by my modem, I realized that the culprit could be the splitter at the cable entry into my home (which was rated for a 7db loss but I imagine was likely higher due to age). Once I replaced, voila! Everything works excellent! MOCA now works great, and coaxial signal quality received by my modem is much better, including the ping went down. At the price this thing is as much of a nobrainer as something can be!

it was put in place to split the coax between my TV and a Cable Modem. It failed from the get go. I have serious reservations about Rocketfish equipment. In the future I will stick with Monster Products.

The way to go when replacing CATV splitters

I was having trouble with the signal into my cable internet/phone modem. Sporadic lost connectivity, etc After talking to Comcast, they mentioned the possibility of a bad splitter. Instead of paying them $50 to come out and troubleshoot, I decided to try replacing the splitters their tech had installed over a year ago when setting up service. Oh boy what a difference it made!!! Before installing this splitter I was barely getting 20 Mbps, after installation I consistently get 50+Mbps! I wholeheartedly recommend this brand as first step if you are having CATV/internet/phone reliability issues.

Good solid splitter for normal home use

The splitter works fine for our FiOS service. From the FiOS box inside the house, the signal converts to coax. I run the coax into this splitter to feed the rest of the outlets in the house. This splitter is better than the "cheap" splitter that Verizon provides.
