It's an older receiver that does not have HDMI so optical audio cable will work well in it's place.

They work as good as some more expensive cables I had but because I bought a new TV I needed longer cable so I bought these. Completely satisfied.

I needed a cable that was longer than 6 ft and this one worked perfectly with cable to spare. I've always had good luck with Rocketfish products.

Take off the plastic end covers, line up the connection and push it in. Compared with RCA plus, this has less clutter and better sound.

Television and Blue Ray do just fine with HDMI, but the optical audio port on my PC allows me to use it to listen to music without having to do anything more than select where to send the signal. Because it's hardwired I can still use my phone for the Bluetooth on the soundbar and just change sources on the remote.
