We had two TVs and I did not want to watch his tv so this saved me long boring nights in a small room with a guy I wasn't that fond of. Also I recommend Bose noise canceling headphones, college must haves.

I wasn't about to lose precious signal strength on either the cable or internet by getting an inferior splitter at the local one dollar knock off store. A trip to Best Buy and a quick screw of the cables and all was right with both internet and cable. So far, no degradation or loss of latency that I have been able to notice. A cinch to use and out of sight and out of mind, while you watch TV and surf the Internet!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beware when buying this, this has been the culprit for constant disconnects on my internet and squares/anomalies on all my cable channels. I have Xfinity, nobody could solve this until my internet finally gave up today. after swapping out every cable and part in my setup, I swapped this splitter with a 2-way splitter I had found in my garage from 2004. Every device in my household works perfectly now, and I have zero issues with my cable.

These splitters are garbage they dont allow all the frequencies for your tv service through, they also create interference feeding back into the cable system affecting yours and your neighbors quality of service. If you have strictly over the air antenna service then this will work but if you have cable or satellite it will cause more problem than anything else. Mark my words if you buy this then when you have the svc tech out to fix your pixelation or slow speeds hes going to throw it away and replace it. So dont waste your money just call your cable or satellite provider
