This worked perfectly and was cheap enough that I didn't mind buying it to use for such a short amount of time. Just make sure you have a third cable to run from the wall to this splitter.

Enter this splitter and now I can use my wifi everywhere! It doesn't feel cheap and works well.

Faster than waiting on the cable company

Instead of waiting a week for the cable company to come I went and bought one of these. Worked like a charm and I didn't have to wait a week or miss work waiting for the cable company.

The coaxial cable from the wall connects to the two-way splitter and one cable goes to the modem while another cable goes to the set top box. Does what it needs.
