    Not for Internet

I bought this to try and cure my weak internet signal. My internet would cut out because of the long coax run to my house. The product I had bought before was the Motorola single in-single out broadband amplifier that I highly recommend. Best Buy stopped carrying it so I tried this out. The downlink signal is amplified slightly (~3dB) while the uplink is made WORSE by -7dB. I bought it without throughtly reading all the details and the guy said it'd work fine for internet. Definitely made it worse, find somewhere else to buy the broadband amplifier if you need an internet amp. I'm sure this product would work decently for cable television. I'm bummed I threw away the box and cant return this $50 paperweight.

    Poor Performance

Upstairs TV with about 75ft run from basement had 16 channel reception. This unit got 18 chls. I got 37 channels with a GE Video Signal Amplifier sold at wallmart for the same price! The choice was clear! I don't recommend this unit at all... only 2 channel improvement, and 21 channel improvement with the GE unit.

I have been through several brands of splitters and amplifiers and find that Antronix works great.

    Didn't Work

This unit says it will work with a cable modem, however I tried plugging the cable modem into every possible output port, and could not get a signal that would work. The original signal is also very weak, meaning that by using this splitter, the signal is cut to a point that my cable box would not recognize without plugging the unit in. Upon doing so, I could not see a visual benefit to the signal. Between that and the signal no longer being compatible with a cable modem, I've got to bring this back to the store. Can't believe it worked worse than a cheap 2 way splitter the cable guy gave me.

Did not work for me :-(

I did read other reviews and it seems to be a bit of luck whether or not it will work in a particular case. I decided to give it a try because I knew Best Buy would let me return it if it didn't work. Some folks had great luck with this and others said it didn't work at all. In my case the picture actually got worse after I installed this supposed signal booster. But a very nice person at Best Buy accepted the return so no harm no foul.

I had a weak signal in my in-laws place and the Rocketfish claimed it would boost weak signals, but it didn't work. Cable TV came though fine, but the Internet dropped all the time. For me, this did not work as it said it would and was a waste of $30.

Tried this splitter amplifier and got no better reception than the basic splitter I already had. I returned the product. I was using to boost signal from Charter cable.
