My TV is far from my sound system. I tried HDMI but could not get any sound no matter how I connected my TV. BlueTooth worked, sort of. The sound came out but about 1 second after the TV did. It was awful. I Bought this long cable and plugged it in and WaLa! It sounded perfect. So easy. No sound degradation at all. I have a self-powered sub and Klipsch speakers BOOM! This makes my TV sound like I am in a movie theater. The cable made all the difference. Buy it!

These cables work as they should. I needed a longer cable than what was supplied with my system, and this one fit the bill. Sound and picture come through beautifully.

This optical audio cable is the perfect connection between my TV and sound bar. Simple to install. Take off the plastic end covers, line up the connection and push it in. Compared with RCA plus, this has less clutter and better sound.

I purchased the Rockfish Toslink Optical Audio Cable on the advice of the Geek Squad. The cable works with my TV and Bose sound bar and provides very clean, clear audio. I would recommend it if you need a solid Toslink Optical Audio Cable for home use.

Best cable for soundbar i ever bought would recommend it

I purchased this to connect my desktop directly to a new soundbar and wireless sub in my office. Television and Blue Ray do just fine with HDMI, but the optical audio port on my PC allows me to use it to listen to music without having to do anything more than select where to send the signal. Because it's hardwired I can still use my phone for the Bluetooth on the soundbar and just change sources on the remote.

Cable worked well. One problem that we did encounter was the optical output on the TV had too little clearance for the diameter of the cable end outside jacket. Slight cutting away of the plastic cabinet where the cable plugs in solves the problem.
