We got this cable to help an elderly friend hook up her new sound bar to her new smart TV. Using a wired connection is very helpful, as she does not now how to reconnect via wireless if the power goes out or if the system becomes disconnected as sometimes just happens. I do wish it was a little less expensive, but at least it is a one time purchase

Make sure you take the little plastic covers off the tip. Before you insert into the TV. And the converter. Digital audio quality is very good.
