Mainly bought for the backlit feature which has been working nicely and can be manually turned on/off by touching the 'light' option

This is a nice surge protector with good connection options that include: -6 protected outlets that are facing outward so there is less chance of larger power bricks blocking adjacent outlets. 2 outlets near the power switch have extra space around them as well for larger power bricks. -Standard USB and a USB-C connections - these days it's nice to have both of these. Aesthetically, this power strip actually looks fairly premium. A nice 6ft braided cable, the housing a brushed metal accents on the top and bottom that do actually look like metal. The Rocketfish logo is actually the on/off switch for the unit as well. A very nice feature is that the outlets illuminate with a tap of the "LIGHT" button. This is very nice if you are trying to plug in cables in a dark confined space. Some the of tech features worth highlighting: -20W USB-C - not the fastest, but not the slowest either, 12W USB is also decent. -2880 joules of surge protection is good for protecting expensive equipment like home theatre, PCs, consoles, etc... Overall a great power strip that look nice and will also protect your equipment and is backed by a limited connected equipment warranty as well.

The tough part about writing a review for a surge protector is you’re really not going to know how well it worked until the worst happens, let’s cross our fingers that none of us have to find out the hard way. That said, I’m pleased so far with this product for a multitude of reasons. The packaging is simple, sleek, and kind of dated in a nostalgic sense yet modern. I like it. There’s not much going on inside besides the surge protector, some plastic, and warranty information. I’ve got the protector plugged into my OLED TV, Xbox Series X, PS5, Switch, router, and Energizer rechargeable battery base and it’s obviously had no issue handling all of my devices. The surge protector is certainly larger as this is designed for heavy duty use but not overly bulky and could fit under most TV stands, behind bulk shelves, etc and be out of sight. It has four normal spaced out plugs, as well as two that are more spaced out for bulkier plugin devices, along with both a USB and USB-C plug. The braided power cord is hefty too, roughly six feet long, but the best is that it has a right-angle plug so you can get this setup in a hard to reach space. It’s not noisy, nor should it be. There are two LED lights on the device designed to indicate if everything is working to snuff and that your devices are grounded. The lights are maybe my only slight gripe as they’re both bright and bold so if you like a darker room or don’t want to be distracted, you can’t turn the lights off or dim them, but I won’t dock them points for that. All said, I’d definitely recommend this and enjoy the peace of mind that all of my devices are safe, and backed by a limited warranty from the manufacturer. Thumbs up

Wanting a new power strip for the computer, I got this Rocketfish™ - 6-Outlet/1-USB-C/1-USB 2,880 Joules Surge Protector. The power strip has a nice heavy feel to it and is solid enough to not slide around on the floor. The burnished ends are a nice distinct feature that seem to be designed to give you a high end finished look. And it works, strange saying it, but the looks on a power strip impressed me. The spacing on the plugs are perfect for home entertainment system or computer setups. The addition of the USB outlets allow you to save a space from a wall wart. My laptop is USB-C powered from a hub, this allows me to essentially power everything for the laptop through the USB-C port. The USB-2 port takes my desk lamp plug. The braided cord and side mounted wall plug allows for a low profile design against the wall, allowing your desk to not be pulled out too much. There is also a lot of flexibility in the cord to allow for going around corners. I have not had the chance to test the surge protection, and hopefully never need to. The last thing I want is a lightning strike! However, this and the power filtering give me peace of mind for the possibilities of life.

Well built. Works as expected. I like the build quality and the lights.
