    Did the trick! I needed it to hook up an old Bose system to a Samsung Q90 55". Worked perfectly. Been using for a month. No issues at all.

    This optical cable works great with most receivers, although make sure it's compatible with most 5.1 or 7.1 codex. Essentially you need an actual receiver and not an out-of-box DVD or Blu-ray surround sound system

    good product but unfortunately my sound bar is really outdated and while the plug was compatible, my sound bar is not compatible to my new TV and the idea of using a single remote.
