    I had so many wires to connect my surround sound from my receiver to my tv. With the optical cord I was able to get rid of all the other wires and just have one

    Great optical cable but remember to take the plastic tip off, I kept forgetting and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't fit in the slot.

    It serves its purpose for my sound bar that only had optical connection. It’s a bit overpriced for such a short optical cable wire, so I definitely recommend purchasing one at amazon. Overall though, it serves its purpose and is functional.

    It’s an optical cord one needs one if the sound system you have doesn’t have HDMI ARC.
