Well, I don't know what his experience is. But when I connected other optical cable to my Bose and Samsung. TV picture and sound popped. So I returned them being very disappointed

While it does look good, it prevents use in many standard optical connectors. The Insignia optical cable on the other hand is more standardized and fits easily. Honestly, there is no performance/technical benefit to purchasing this more expensive (or any other) optical cable. Fiber transmits using light: the quality of the cable, insulation, or even expensive metal contacts will not change the speed of light or improve the "quality" of the connection. Save your money.

When I tried to return it it was 2 weeks later and they I couldn't return it because it was past the time that was allowed to return item. Not a great return policy. He'll make me think twice about buying things from Best buy
