The audio coming from the sound bar sounds better, clearer and louder at lower volumes.

Maybe the best way to connect the two for good audio quality I'm using with an optical split device to power headphones and amplifier at once. (you likely have to buy this at Amazon.) This is beyond geek territory, but a great idea if you have friends or family with different hearing levels.

No worries about getting home and finding out the cable doesn't work. You may pay more for their products but it is well worth it as there are no return trips to the store and they last far longer than any other brand.
