    I had several options for connecting my sound system to my TV but they were much too complicated...."Line-in, Line-out, audio-in, audio-out...!" ughhhh! this made it so easy since there is only one plug that it could possible go to on the TV AND the sound system!! Fool proof!!!!

    Was tired of dips in sound when lowering the volume on my gaming speakers. Also the default cable that came with the speakers was short for this was a best buy no pun intended since I switched to optical audio for better sound overall and more slack for placement.

    Works well. I had a hard time getting our sound bar system working w/HDMI cable without glitches and so I tried this and it has worked flawlessly. One thing is that I don't know if it supports Dolby in this mode which would be the only bummer.
