Boy were they right. I found this cable on open box cable and it works great.

It didn’t solve the problem and ultimately I had to purchase a new soundbar and the cord works as advertised.

Good work around without having to upgrade my 15 year old AV receiver that is still a solid performer.

Excellent Optical Cable

I did not need the optical cable at the time of install, but had it added so when, and if I purchase a soundbar, it was already installed.

The quality of the cable seems well made and it delivers the sound to my sound system as designed.

I had a hard time getting our sound bar system working w/HDMI cable without glitches and so I tried this and it has worked flawlessly. One thing is that I don't know if it supports Dolby in this mode which would be the only bummer.
