They have a good fit, and the gold coating should prevent oxidation. Any time there's a connector, there's opportunity for reduced signal. We still get excellent reception from out antenna.

I accidentally cut my cable modem line when working in the attic. Created a splice cable and boom back to full download speeds. I would rate as a success.
