Waiting Patiently

I am also a Total Tech Member. In my installation there are 2 appointments ( I know you know this). The setup appointment by Markus and Andrea was great. They had great suggestions, which I took to make the install go smoothly. Sadly I was called and told that my installer had COVID, so I needed to reschedule. Totally, understand. My new appointment was scheduled for Saturday 13 Aug between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. I received a call on Friday night reminding / confirming my appointment the following morning. - (1st Call) At 1:05 PM when I heard nothing I called the Geek Squad and spoke to someone. She attempted to reach out to the technician, somewhere in the call we were disconnected. No problem, I called back. - (2nd Call) I talked to a different person and explained my issue, again she attempted to reach out to the technician. She was very polite and told me that she was unable to contact the technician and she would send an email to management and someone would reach out to me. I asked how long I should wait. I was told no more than 90 minutes. No one reached out so I called back in 90 minutes. - (3rd call) I talked to another person and explained my issue. He again attempted to contact the technician, with no luck. He told me that he would send an email to a manager. I told him that was already done and nothing happened, that is why I am calling for the third time. He assured me that he would call me back in less than 90 minutes with an answer. No call back after 90 minutes. - (4th Call) I am sure you can imagine that my frustration is growing. I talked to another person and she attempted to reach out to the technician, again with no luck.( I made the assumption that the technician didn't show up for work). She told me I needed to reschedule. She also told me that I would be compensated with a gift card (no amount given) for my troubles. I currently have little confidence that my next appointment will be filled. As such, I refuse to lose a day of work and wait, so again I chose a Saturday. My new appointment is scheduled for Saturday 27 Aug, between 7:AM and 1:00 PM. I was told that the time will be refined closer to the appointment date. If my TV gets installed on the new date, 27 Aug, I will have owned it for a month and I have not even seen it yet. I can only assume that on 13 Aug, someone, somewhere had my TV in their truck and had plans to install it. It is confusing to me that there is not a system in place to know if an installer showed up or failed to show up. I can only imagine that a Company as large as Best Buy has checks and balances that would tell you to notify a customer if an installer is going to be late, or if not going to show. This happened when my technician contracted COVID. I am disappointed that I had to make four phone calls and NO ONE reached out to me. Looking forward to getting my TV installed.

TV Wall Mount

It works fine but you have to be careful when pulling the TV out, and the channels to hide the cords are hard to figure out - I still don't know how to get them open.
