It does give one the ability to move the screen in whatever direction is needed. For me, I can turn it to view from the kitchen while cooking or toward the living room when resting.

It also surprisingly, enhanced the sound quality coming from the television’s speakers. This being due to the tv’s elevation & angle from the floor.
