Not worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While it worked, it dd not pair very well with my Logitech mx5000 keyboard/mouse combo. Mouse tracking was erratic and keyboard response was sluggish. Once the mx5000 combo was paired back with the original Logitech receiver, the erratic behaviors ceased.

Doesn't work on Windows 8. Waste of money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When you try to install Windows 8 says it is not compatible. It then sends you to the manufacture that says drivers are only available through distributors.

Great while it worked.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This bluetooth adatper was to be used by a high school robotics team to allow communication to their robot (using NXT device on robot). Adapter worked great for about 2 weeks and then quit working at all 5 days before a tournament. It is not recognized and will not light up on any laptop we try it on. DO NOT BUY THIS ADAPTER!!!!.

Doesn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The rep, who I trust as the expert, told me that it worked. We even looked at the actual laptop I had bought there so he knew which one I was speaking of. This was in November and I have written so many complaints I can't remember how many. You can read my posts on facebook. As a result of this and another similar incident in Hyannis Ma, I will never buy from bestbuy again.

Needs some Interaction on your side
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use Vista and if you do too, you will have a hard time making this thing work properly. I purchased this adapter to connect my cellphone, BT headset, and BT stereo speakers to my Vista enabled PC. While there are many BT adapters on the market, I picked Rocketfish. While Vista still has not matured, it has seen numerous patches and updates- I figured that that it has become more stable and a bit more welcoming to hardware. Rockerfish does not display a Vista Compatible sticker. I read the reviews and while only one suggested that it did not work with Vista, others withheld their OS selection. One out of five reviews- this BT adapter cant be too bad, right? The supplied software does install nicely and does make youre PC a BT device. However, the supplied software- released by WIDCOMM/Broadcom is outdated. You will not know that when you install the adapter- nope. You have to do trial and error rounds, figure out why youre getting monaural sound, and spotty connections, and Vista seemingly sentience and deciding what to connect to and when. This will drive you insane. Truth be told, the supplied Rocketfish CD installs outdated software on your PC. The WIDCOMM program, yes, installs perfectly but only installs certain Bluetooth "profiles". I would hazard to say the first profiles developed for BT. To get better reliability, stereo sound, and to tame the ghost in the machine- you need to download the update offered by Broadcom. The install process is just as easy as the original and will require you to reboot the system. Once your system is up and running, the BT adapter will work to its fullest and connect correctly to your BT accessories. Aside from this annoyance, the BT adapter works very well, it is small and remains hidden. I would recommend to place it at the rear of the computer or in any internal USB slot (make sure your computer has such a slot). Audio quality is great but subjective to what type of speakers youve paired. Signal strength is great, I would have to say. Of course in an environment with few obstacles- you will get the standard 30feet radius. One plus is that the blue blinking light is hidden will and is not too overbearing in the dark. In fact, plugged into the front of the computer, I would have never known it was there. The supplied documents are easy to follow but make no note on helping you diagnosis a problem like the one I had. Microsoft help and Support page will not help you effectively as Vista does not naturally support certain Bluetooth profiles. I would recommend this device to a friend after I had told them to download the update before investing too much time into making it work straight out of the box. As for price... well, there are a few other adapters out there. But I would have to go with one that has a known name attached to it. Rocketfish is a marquee of Best Buy.
