Works sorta
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to be able to play music on my stereo from my laptop via bluetooth. This thing had no more than a 6 foot range otherwise the audio cuts off as signal is lost. Do not buy it unless you are using it with the intention of being real close for it.

Couldn't be used w/my laptop with Windows 8
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had contact the Geek Squad to help me to be able to add this product to my laptop - took a couple hours. Might want to make salesclerks aware this is not an easy installation for a "regular customer w/the instructions included w/ the product.

Doesn't work more than 10 ft from PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this hoping to be able to connect my wireless speaker and have it outside, but it won't work much more than 10 ft from the source (PC). It doesn't do my much good if I can't move around with it.

WORKING WITH WINDOWS 7 64 BIT SYSTEM
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ROCKETFISH MICRO BLUETOOTH ADAPTER (RF-MRBTAD) WITH WINDOWS 7 64 BIT......... WORKING Purchased this Bluetooth adapter and had a real hard time getting it to work. After reading all the reviews about how it doesn’t work with Windows 7 64 Bit systems, I almost gave up and returned it for a refund. I had already gone to the Rocketfish website and downloaded the latest software/drivers from their support link. I had deleted some existing Bluetooth software that was already on my computer (probably a good idea). It would not pair with either device that I tried to connect with and wouldn't download peripheral drivers. One of the times it wouldn’t pair I got the error code: 0x8004005. After reading some threads about this error code, some of the advice was about permissions and such for the application and sure enough this was the problem. If you are trying to use this on Windows 7 64 Bit system try this: Click the start button in the bottom left hand corner and in the search box search for Bluetooth. It should show up on top under programs. Right click Bluetooth and go down to properties. Click on properties. In properties click the security tab on the top. Click the edit button to change permissions. I turned them all on for all the different user names and the Bluetooth adapter worked after this. I was able to connect to both devices, the permissions setting was what was causing the problem. It shouldn’t be this difficult but maybe this will help someone save some time!

Doing the job
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've got this to connect my BT headphone to my laptop. The price was good and so the performance. It was very easy to install, didn't require any manual installation. The only problem was with the power selection mode for BT devices. I guess it is something not important to have/know but I was messing around with it to check how it will work in power saving mode.

Great product for a decent price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've recently just entered the world of PC gaming head on and while I have dabbled in it in the past, I never got as deep into it as I did with my consoles. Well recently I built a pretty sweet gaming rig for cheap and was ready to venture into unknown territories, only problem was I didn't have a gaming pad for games more fitted for it. Well that's kind of a lie, I did have gaming pads, one had a broken button, the other was a PS2 controller hooked up to an adapter that sometimes would glitch out. Well I then wondered if I would be able to use one of my PS3 controllers with my PC, since I had plenty to spare, I then found a program that could do so but it required a bluetooth adapter to work. That lead me to another problem, finding an inexpensive BT adapter that wasn't too cheap and wouldn't flake out on me after extended use. I looked around on Amazon, Newegg and CmpUSA and they all had rather inexpensive adapters, but the large amount of negative reviews on them were bothersome. Sure they were rather cheap (they ranged from a few cents to a few dollars) and so losing a few bucks wouldn't be that big of a deal, but in the long run I'd rather spend a little more to get something that will last. That's exactly what I got with the bluetooth adapter made by Rocketfish. It was only $20, easy to set up and worked with my PS3 controller perfectly. Now I'm able to play my PC games and emulators with great ease and I didn't have to buy a new controller. The range is great, letting me hook my PC up to my TV and play a game from across the room, on the comfort of my own bed. So if you're looking for a well price Bluetooth adapter, but don't want to get too cheap, or too expensive. Then this adapter is the best way to go, it's affordable and works great.

works with my pnone and 1 of my earpieces
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works great with my plantronics 222 earpiece but not with my plantronicts voyager pro.or blueant It does work with my taho cell phone and I can use my computer to make calls from my cell as a dialer or talk though the PC. It also allows me to back up my contacts and transfer pictures to the PC. My phone does ask me every time if it is ok to connect which gets annoying but that is my phone or might be all phones.. The ggek squad told me they can be a real beast to install but in 5 minutes I had in on my desktop and my laptop. It doesn't really give any instructions on how to use everything so you have to play with it a bit. I would recommend to some of my friends but not all of them. I would never suggest it to my sister..

Woohoo Its Bluetooth
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me get this out in the open here... Everywhere I researched custom computers when asked for built in Bluetooth the cost to do so was about $20-25. Not everyone has the luxury of having a brand new computer and not all new commputers come with Bluetooth built in. My point here, why should this micro dongle cost $45 I own 2 computers now and this make my second Rocketfish Bluetooth Adapter, both of them came with a Disk to install the drivers and both of the disks were broken, its an easy fix though just go to the rocketfish website and download the driver for your exact device. Overall, not bad.

Excellent Bluetooth Dongle
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an awesome product. It installs pretty easily and is small and really compact. I've connected it to 2 bluetooth devices at the same time with no problem. Its Size is really small and barely noticeable once plugged in. I've had it in for a few days now and transported it around with it still plugged in with no problems. Gives me the bluetooth connectivity that I really needed to make my computer more complete

Works great with a PS3 controller
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this device mainly so I could play games on my computer wirelessly using my PS3 controller. After installing the drivers, I was able to pair the controller using the MotionJoy drivers in a matter of seconds and everything was working perfectly. I'm running this on the 64bit version of Windows 7, and I haven't encountered a single problem as of yet. I docked a star for the price. I think this thing could definitely be a bit cheaper. I tried getting my H500 bluetooth headset to pair up with this device, but I haven't had any luck. Its probably something wrong with the headset, though, seeing as the PS3 controller works just fine.
