Doesn't work very well.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to use with my Bluetooth headset in conjuction with Ventrilo. My Headset is perfectly clear incomming and outgoing with my phone, but with this adaptor the conversation was purely static on both ends. I was but meer feet away from the receiver so range was not the issue. It's performance is incredibly poor, so it's value to price is $0 to me. I spent a few days changing settings and whatnot but I returned it shortly after the purchase. I really liked that I could manage the device independantly. I could use my Bluetooth headset as a mic and isolate Ventrilo, while continuing to have game audio play through surround sound. I very much liked the product for this reason, but the functionality was too poor to be useable. Noone could understand me.

Works as expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It transfers great sound from the Rhapsody music service on my PC to my nice home stereo. Only thing is, the microwave knocks out the signal until the microwave shuts off.

Works, but bad audio
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was very simple to install and connect my bluetooth headset, but there was a lot of interference and a resulting poor audio quality. Will probably return it.

Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bit of a problem at first, but that was due to out of date BIOS in my laptop. After updating that, it has worked great with every device that I have tried.

Doesn't install
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up so I could use Bluetooth devices on my home PC running Windows 7. The install disc couldn't find it after I had plugged it in, and refused to install the drivers. I downloaded the most current version from the Rocketfish's support website, and it happened again. Program couldn't find the adapter after I plugged it in, so it refused to install. DO NOT BUY!

Mixed feelings
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read a lot of reviews that this product does not work with Windows 8 so I bought two of these one for home and one for office the PC's run Vista and Window 7. I also bought another product that I thought would work on my new laptop that runs Window 8. This product works only on Window 8. So I now have one extra dongle that does not work on the system it was purchased for. The Iogear works on all three systems. I should have just purchase 3 of those.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It found my HTC Evo 4G and that's all it did. Couldn't connect to it or anything. Did all the usual stuff, reinstalled, downloaded new drivers/software and nothing. Returned it. It was $30.00. I bought two Azio bluetooth adapters and had them shipped to me for $21.43. The Azio's worked perfectly as soon as you installed them. The BlueSoleil software works just fine also.

Doesn't work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I followed the instructions in the package and the software installed up to the point where it asks what services you want it to offer, but there are NO options. I uninstalled and reinstalled with 2 to 3 restarts each time and it kept sticking there. This is the second item I've bought from rocketfish and the second that I'm returning. I won't be buying another.

Vista users beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This procuct claims to be vista compatible. How ever if you have service pack 1 loaded with vista the software is not compatible, The dongle did work but without the software its useless. After contacting the company they say they are working on it. Then why say its compatible?

Couldn't use it at all. It was for Windows.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an Apple computer & couldn't download any drivers for it -- & it didn't download them automatically. Plus, it was to use as a Bluetooth booster to help my Apple laptop communicate with the iHome speakers I bought at Best Buy some months ago. At the Geek Squad counter, where I went for help with this adapter, I was told that my speakers are the problem, not my laptop's internal Bluetooth functionality: these speakers are very weak & if I want Bluetooth speakers, I should spend at last $250 for good ones or keep these small ones & only use them plugged in. I opted for the latter but even have trouble getting the iHome speakers to work consistently. Seems if I dance the cha-cha before plugging it in it works better. Frustrating. I might still return them for store credit but I'm pretty busy these days, so...... Oh well.

Fails with Windows 8.1
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You're Bluetooth products with this product will fail. They have not come out with version 8.1 windows driver updates. I called the company and they said it will be a few months. I laughed and returned it. I attempted to run it in compatibility mode in other versions of windows and it couldn't verify the product. I called Microsoft as well with no avail.

WOULD NOT INSTALL AND WONT PAIR!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Says it will pair with Windows 7. NOT. This is the worst product! I had to install the thing 3 times and it still will not pair my computer with handheld. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS!

this is an experimental chip
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.broadcom rewrote the architecture for the mini and micro chips thus they are no longer just plug and play you need to have the specific driver from the cd or the web site.. when i called customer support they knew nothing about this issue, were rude and interrupted me on several occasions, and then hung up on me when i asked to speak with a supervisor, they would not release the sourse code to that a generic driver could be built for linux, i have tried mutipule attemps to port a driver for linux (ubuntu 9.04) with no results, devise in genral sucks but with the cd and windows xp (min sp2 ) it works ok but is really slow claim is 2.1mbs transfer rates were 60kbs
