My old Radio Shack antenna had a remote control directional control, which is what failed. This antennae, after install in my attic and experimenting with the direction it is pointed, receives more stations, clearer, and with no need to adjust. I was so pleased, that I ordered a 2nd antennae to take to my 2nd home up north.

Prior to buying, check to see what channels your stations transmit on. With new FCC repacking, some stations are moving down there. For example, our PBS station says channel 15 but is transmitted on channel 3, so this antenna would not work for us in Roanoke. Check AntennaWeb for TVFool and search out those in your area.

Most channels it picked up was 16. Indoor "mousepad" antenna picked up more channels than that. So frustrated that I pulled this antenna off of the roof and threw it right in the trash. Didn't want anyone else to suffer the misery in case Best Buy tried to resell it. I understand why they were selling it for 50% off.
