Please look at the Joule rating as not all protectors are created equal. If you are going to protect sensitive electronics, make the extra bit of investment for a higher joule (power) rating.

It can carry the load of the dryer only though, wish it could handle the washer and dryer power load. May purchase a second one for the washer.

Best Buy had the Rocketfish 7 outlet surge protector and it turned out to be the "best buy"! Works like a charm, so far. :)

This one seems to be just as good as all the other ones. Does what it needs to do.

We also live in an area of the country that gets a lot of lightning (the building next to ours recently caught on fire from lightning). This strip has serviced us well. No issues!
