It had a very bright blue light to indicate that it on. I bought this to plug my adjustable bedframe in, and I found the light to be too bright when sleeping. I had to put tape over the light to help block it.

I'm using one for my phone charger and the other for my USB hub. The construction appears solid, and the low profile plug and 90 degree configuration means a solid connection to the wall outlet and minimal chance of being dislodged. I purchased it specifically for this feature and it does not disappoint.

Power fluxes can seriously damage expensive hardware and this surge protector is relatively inexpensive compared to protection plans.

HIGHLY recommend getting one, if I was able to have one I wouldn't have lost my TV during hurricane Mathew. They DO need to be replaced after 3 years because surges going on all the time wear them out. That info is from extensive research.
