I have one on each side of the couch under the end tables. One side is for device charging and the other is for power cords for tv, cable box, Apple TV, etc.

It is a good looking unit, and the USB ports are convenient. We don't use it for cable. It provides some extra insurance against a spike that could knock the new printer out of service.

I was worried that the power switch was too easy to flip off, but it hasn't accidentally flipped off even once since I started using it.
