Heard popping noises in the house and then started smelling smoke from the living room. Looked around and found this surge protector was the culprit. Left a burn mark in our wood floor. If this was carpet or mounted on the wall, who knows how much worse this could have been. It lasted almost 7 years and had no complaints about this product. However, Rocketfish/Best Buy may want to look into this further.

So far I have had no problems with this device. We have not had any severe storms in the area to actually test the surge protection feature.

Had a lighting storm pass thru and burnout my Yamaha theater receiver. Have used them ever since, no problems so far.

I wish two plugs were spaced farther as opposed to the one on here, but still a great strip with 2 USB charging slots.

This power strip is also very nice because it comes with two USB slots, which makes it easy and more convenient for me when I have to charge my iPhone.

So far I have no products purchased by them fail. I needed this to hook up a desktop to that was a little further away from the desk it was located at. Works great.

We had not done that which led to a 4 year old LG TV incurring a surge that trashed the TV. Spend the $20 it is worth it.
