As I was assembling it and hanging, I had a bit of worry about it's weight as it was heavier than past wall mounts, but no problem, it's on that wall, and powerfully so.

The opening of this bracket is big enough to accommodate these plugs so the tv can be hung low and closer to the top of the fire place.

This makes it easy to reach the back of the tv if necessary and provides a nice viewing angle. I mounted a 55" tv on it without any issues.

Better to first attach braces to your TV. Then (temporarily) attach mount plate to brace. Measure distances from mount holes to edges of your TV. THEN, drill holes & attach mount where desired..so that your TV will hang where desired.
