Purchased Dec 2023, have been using ever since and it works great.

I like this dock, I still have it. But I had to replace the AC power adapter. It was creating a loud electrical ringing sound when plugged in. And I made sure to test that it was indeed the adapter. Once replaced, the sound is gone, and my peace returned. Lol. But I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone because you end up paying the same amount for a Nintendo certified replacement dock.

Amazing works perfectly on our tv! And the picture is awesome there is no lagging or buffering too slow it’s perfect for our vacation this year!

My old stand was broken. After carefully searching for a new I came across this and is has been working very well since purchase.

This was a prefect replacement for my dock. I bought my switch second hand and it didn’t come with any.

Didn't even want to give it a star. I docked my switch into this with a near 100% charge. It did not simply fail to display the screen, when I pulled my switch off it would not come back on. It will not charge, does not display anything when in my original switch dock. It beoke my switch after trying to use it once. Saving 30-40 dollars by getting this is far from worth it. Go with an original nintendo dock.

Simple dock, much lower profile than the OEM and work just as well

This dock is very good. It does the same exact thing as the actual Nintendo switch dock. same easy installation.

Until just now the dock was working fine and I haven’t had any issues with charging or video display while playing. My problem arose after i had the forgot that i had the AC adapter to the dock unplugged from its surge protector/power strip. The switch connects to the controller and lit up while connected to the dock. I plug in the dock’s AC adapter and it bricked my switch. Now its not connecting to the controller, it wont power on and it wont load on the tv. Completely broken.

It works perfectly. The unit itself is quite heavy and solid. It definitely stays put wherever it is placed. Biggest plus- it didn’t brick my Switch. That was my only fear in purchasing this. The only downside is one USB port. This is the main difference between this and an official Nintendo Dock. Other differences are the Rocketfish is half the price of the Nintendo dock, and it is actually in stock, unlike the Nintendo dock.

Not only does this dock work flawlessly just as expected, it's actually less bulky than the Nintendo OEM dock. It's nice that you don't have to brush the screen of your device against plastic every time you dock your switch. Honestly it's just a better design than Nintendo's and to top it all off it's significantly less expensive. I will probably buy one or two more just to have them all over the house/office.

I'm out of town a lot and like to take my Switch with me, and I wanted another dock for my secondary residence where I live for a few months out of the year. I didn't feel like shelling out $60 + tax for the official Nintendo dock, but I saw this number on sale for around half that. Seemed like a no-brainer. And... it was! Very happy with this little unit. It works just like the regular Switch dock in that it charges your console and allows you to hook it up to a TV or monitor via HDMI. There's also a USB pass-through for charging controllers and the like. I'd say it's also small enough for travel, although I don't use it that way. If I had one complaint, it's that the Switch doesn't slide on and off this dock as easily as it does with the official Nintendo dock. It fits a little snugly and you might have to use two hands to remove your Switch. But that's hardly enough to deduct a star. I wouldn't pay full price for this (might as well just get the official dock for that money) but when on sale, this is a great little secondary/backup/travel dock for your Switch.

Great dock! Better than the original. Bought for another room so I didn’t have to keep lugging the original dock around. So far no problems. Fits tighter than the original, looks better and feels better. Also, it is smaller than the original dock in terms of shorter yet like I said fits better so not so wobbly. There is also no latch in the back like the original; everything just plugs in. I get that the original was made with the added latch to ‘hide’ the wires but to me it just makes it more cumbersome. This is sleek and compact. I think u would agree.

I purchased Insignia's version of a Nintendo Switch docking station to have a backup dock to connect to another television in my house and to use as a traveling dock for my kids to use on hotel or resort televisions when we're on long trips. The product works well and is very compact, which makes it a perfect travel accessory.
