It's a cheaper alternative and is way more compact than the original dock. The ports are also easier to reach on this one.

Actually like it better than the Nintendo one that comes with the Switch. Have a few of these connected to TVs all over the house so we can game on any TV we want.

The Rocketfish TV dock kit for the Nintendo Switch resolved this problem! Overall, it works as advertised. The only issue we have had is that it takes a few seconds for the switch to acknowledge the dock and display on the TV. If you purchase it keep this in mind. The dock does work just give it a little longer than the original switch dock.

Good secondary dock

I'm not sure I would recommend this as a complete replacement for the original as it is not quite as secure, but to set up a switch in a secondary location, or on the go - this works great.

It doesn't have the same chance to scratch the front screen as the official Nintendo dock, which is nice, but it puts off a high-pitched noise while charging the switch, and that is kind of annoying unless you have something to drown it out.
