However, there is some sort of coil whine the emits from it. Coil whine itself is typically not something to worry about so I am not worried about damage to the unit or my Switch itself. This is unnoticeable if you are playing a game with headphones on or volume up on your TV/speaker system, but when the thing is idle and not in use I can hear an audible buzzing from it. It may just be the unit that I received, but keep that in mind. I tend to just charge my Switch separately and use this dock only if I am actively outputting to the TV due to an abundance of caution. Still recommended nonetheless.
