Great emergency switch dock

I docked a star because it does emit a high-pitched whining noise when it's connected. Not a dealbreaker as I'll be using it in loud environments, but something to be aware about.

Works great and connects quick. USB connection to charge other devices could be stronger but the dependable product so far. Purchased to hook up to another TV.

Works great noisy power supply

This dock is almost as good as the original. It works great. The only issue is the power supply makes a wining noise that can be heard in a quiet room.

The product description implies it’s the same as the Nintendo dock (aside from the Ethernet port). However there is one other major difference: it does not support CEC and this cannot automatically turn your CEC compatible TV on. For me this is a showstopper. Not everyone will want this function or have a CEC compatible TV but if you want CEC compatibility you’ll need a different dock.
