Everything worked great, except for a high pitched whining sound coming from the device while charging my switch. That and a funny “warm electronics” smell. It was concerning enough for me to return it.

Overall the product works just like the dock that comes with the switch. My only problem with the product is that it will not work when connect to any type of AV equipment, I must plug the dock directly into my TV. It will recognize its connected to AV but no video or audio is presented. Tested this on a AV reciever and soundbar that work with the nintendo dock.

Works well, does its job. Only problem may be a fainting buzzing sound it makes but it's hardly noticeable

This unit causes mass issues when used with the OLED. I bought this in 2020. When I try to mount my OLED, the fit is tight, and the bluetooth disconnects. My guess is that they reused the same product number and changed it to work with OLED switches. With that said, if you get old stock, it will not work with your OLED switch. Make sure it's the new version. Otherwise, great alternative to Nintendo variant. Very sleek and more affordable.

With this unit I can play my switch on any tv in my home without having to constantly unhook the main unit to put in other rooms

Bought this device to give us another dock for the living room. I currently own two other docks, one of them being the OEM dock that came w/ my Switch. The other is the Insignia dock kit which looks very similar to the Rocketfish dock. I was originally looking for another Insignia dock as the one I have already has performed phenomenally with no problems at all. Unfortunately they have discontinued it and it's no longer available for purchase. So I bought this one thinking it would be a good replacement. Boy was I wrong. I hooked it up a couple days ago and while it showed it charging the switch, no matter what I did it would not send the picture to the tv. I finally gave up after multiple attempts. I even thought maybe it was my HDMI cable so I hooked up my other dock to it and the Switch immediately showed up on my tv. So that leaves only one possibility. This is a piece of junk and cheap knockoff of the Insignia version. I gotta say one of the biggest red flags I first noticed even before I hooked it up was the fact that it doesn't come w/ a USB-C brick for power. Even the Insignia came w/ that. But I didn't think much of it and hoped for the best. I can't in good conscience recommend this to anyone. I've seen the horror stories of buying 3rd party docks only to have them at best not work w/ the Switch and at worst completely brick them. Luckily this didn't brick my Switch but man I got pretty scared that it would if I kept trying to get it to work. I can't stress this enough. DO NOT BUY! If Insignia decides to start making their dock again I'll buy one of those but otherwise. I highly recommend biting the bullet and just spending the money for another OEM Switch dock.

For being $50 I would expect some lasting quality. However, it is a cheap alternative/knock off to official Nintendo hardware. The AC adapter keeps making an high pitch electrical ringing noise when plugged in; making it impossible to use faulty product unless you want a migraine and want to chance an electrical fire. Do NOT purchase this cheap, faulty product. I won’t ever again.

It does the job. A good job. Some may even say the best job.

It gets the job done for putting your switch to the tv but just wish it offered more usb ports
