My wife, son, and myself love this game/tutor. You use your own guitar to learn. You have a built in amplifier and pedals built into the game. All this is controlled by software which is really cool. Very inexpensive...hook it up to your home receiver and turn your living room into a stage.

Rocksmith 2014 Edition - Xbox 360 is exactly what the person desiring to learn guitar needs in his back pocket. It's an extremely well thought out training tool, as well as a fun time for all who've always thought about trying to learn the guitar.
I'd strongly recommend it for everyone.

This was easy to set up and use. Great for learning the basics without having to pay for lessons. Mind you, a personal teacher will be able to help you correct any bad habits, but all in all, well worth the cost.

This product alone made me want to give the guitar another try. I have only been using it a couple of weeks and I do like the set up and the options. For me the main attraction is it get's you playing! You can do songs, lessons, guitarcade, ect. I hope to continue learning using this method.

Forget Guitar Hero and Rock Band, this is the game I thought I was buying when these types of games first started appearing back in 2005. I'm not saying I can be a rock star, but you can learn something from this "GAME" !

f you played and enjoyed the first game, you will like this one even better. Menus work faster, control is tighter, lessons are better, the guitar-cade has more interesting games, the sound track is better. The only thing I miss is the campaign where you tried to step your way through gigs. You can still make your own gigs, but it isn't the same. Still, I love this version, and play a lot.

I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend who's more into metal music. He commented that he likes the songs on this edition compared to the first one. I have tried it a bit and don't play guitar at all so I find it a bit challenging but I certainly see how a person could learn how to play guitar from Rocksmith. Plus its entertaining at the same time.

We own both versions of Rocksmith but until Rocksmith 2014 it kinda just laid there it really has given my kids the initiative to learn guitar and make it fun. with a revamp of the whole interface and a proper Chord book and its interactivity with Kinect Rocksmith 2014 is a hit. The only thing we have issue with is we each have our own account on our xBox and if you purchase DLC under one account it doesn't show up as purchased when you are surfing the shop under a different account however all DLC you purchase is playable from any of our accounts so it just makes t difficult to remember what you have and haven't purchased. with its multiple arcade games to hone skills and memory muscle and to build callouses to being able to play guitar and bass (If you own the bass expansion) simultaneously to being able to lay score attack against a friend (requires two tone cables) Rock smith 2014 is our facorite game on the xBox

Navigation thru the options could be easier. Audio is a challenge for xBox directly to you TV or monitor. There is a recommended way to interface audio for best sound. However, not just plug and play with your existing xBox set up with HDMI to your monitor/TV. Otherwise great approach to learning guitar and some real challenging games for the accomplished intermediate player. Worth the money to use this approach.

Although I was hoping for a more realistic tab experience. I thought it would be more geared toward guitar players
