When it's working, it's fantastic and would be the best gaming handheld. BUT with the many hardware issues, SD card reader and joystick issues, it still needs some time to sort things out for it to be perfect.

If your looking for a moblie pc set up and dont mind a shorter battery life its perfect. Storage is abit on the smaller end and the SD card issue complicates that abit more.

I was skeptical at first but the performance well exceeded my expectations and unlike the Steam Deck Oled this is a hand-held Windows 11 high-performance PC. Not a Steam OS handheld that doesn't run every AAA title.

Ive had it for almost a month now since the release and im very happy with it,i love the preformance and the 120hz display! A real game changer for gaming enthusiasts,however im always having to be next to an outlet when i use turbo mode as the battery drains rather quickly.

Amazing for on the go gaming. Plays any and all games I've played. BG3, madden, Diablo 4, the list goes on. The battery life is about 2 hours on 1080p 120hz but it looks and plays amazing. I recommend buying am aftermarket m. 2 for 2tb as 512GB isn't much space.

Love this thing, great performance in a really small form factor. Easy to upgrade or do maintenance on it. The only issue I've had with it is that a bit of hair builds up under the sticks over time, but that's a really easy flx.

Great product, runs games good, feels great, BUT the sd card reader has issues. and i got 2 of them and they both do.great price made it worth it tho.

Despite the bugginess of the software switching between modes when the gamepad is set in automatic mode, its immensely impressive for a handheld but the price does not make it a steal.

Plays diablo 4 with ease! Maintains 50-60 fps at medium setting while plugged and running on turbo. Also you can use it as a personal heater lol this unit can put off some heat!! Fans a pretty quiet though

Excellent handheld. I love it being a full Windows PC as well, makes it very easy to manage. I've had no issues with mine. And now I can play Diablo 4 anywhere instead of being stuck at a computer desk. Graphics and performance are great, screen is very crisp and bright.

It's a generally fun unit to use. Just be ready for it to not make sense 70% of your first 700 initial uses. Especially if you have kids whom you've used your personal email to set up gaming accounts on other devices to ensure they have access to gameplay. You may find yourself with a brand new unit ( second one cause the first one straight up overheated at the first startup) that is linked to your kids account and you have no idea how to remove it. When you finally do....there's still a lot to do. Then you find out it really doesn't link to PS5 games which.....cmon. But you can download Steam and EA among other things. But you never had plans to do that. So you do. Hey! Fallout: New Vegas??? Ok, I'm in.

I bought my rog ally z1 extreme used in good condition and i could swear that it was brand new. The portability and power make for a great combo. The speakers have great range and volume also.

I bought this as a return but the only issue I see with it is that the buttons aren’t as sensitive as I’d like (and I’m not sure if that’s cuz it’s a return or if the buttons are just like that) Otherwise, I ABSOLUTELY love that it’s just a Windows machine in a fun skin. I’m even able to work on it lol it definitely has a learning curve and isn’t plug and play like a Switch; again, it’s a Windows machine with Windows OS on it. They didn’t even slim down the UI to make it feel more “hand held” like it’s just a PC. I’ve had no problem running any of my games even at their highest settings but the battery is a little short and it physically gets pretty hot (think like an old laptop from 2013)

Ally is very competitive gaming device with very good gaming capabilities. The storage should have been 1 Tb or higer as 512 GB gets filled up with just 5 to 6 gamesh.

Overall great device Asus finally stepped up and the latest updates make this thing great. Definitely factor in the SD issue problem though because I believe it is hardware related.

Best handheld in the market right now. I like how the rog ally preforms and how a powerful it’s but the only down fall is the battery life. But it’s still my favorite device so for when it come to a portable gaming device.

The performance is undeniable, but its small battery does not make it great mobile device. If you don't mind always being plugged in a wall outlet or are willing to carry a big power bank with you at all times I would not recommend it. But that is it really, the device is cool, and impressive. It does require a lot of tinkering but it’s a windows pc so that’s expected.
