This is such an amazing performer. So much better than the other options out there for quick on-the-go gaming and that is without compromise. I think if I were to travel for business I would take this for use on the plane, and as my personal device. I usually take 2 laptops with me but not anymore.

Freedom to play any game I want from my favorite childhood games to new PC releases. Easy launcher and good standby battery life. Doubles as a home PC for when I do want to use a full windows desktop experience. Only downside is battery life.

For anyone that keeps asking it’s a handheld pc, yes it can connect to a monitor you just need the docking station. The speed is ridiculously fast and the graphics is amazing like only handheld that has a 1080p not even the steam deck. I play it every where on my break at home road-trips on the plane

Love the product but the screen is too small for most of the games I want to play on it. I ended up returning it for that reason. I did need to adjust the power settings because I was having issues with Spiderman occasionaly freezing for about a minute. I would definitely only get the Z1 Extreme version, the extra cost is worth it. Buy open box if you can, I have it from a good source that nearly all the open box options for this item are in near perfect condition because they are customer returns mostly because of the customer not knowing how to adjust the power settings to fix the freezing problem.

This console is impressive. It feels like a really next gen console with a lot of power! I can also say it’s a gaming laptop replacement. Asus just needs to make a better dock and more accessories. A lot of power + Portability + Game Pass + PS Now + Steam + a lot more!

Is a useful device if you wanna play games while you're out. It would be helpful if you keep it plugged in because the battery does run out pretty quick

Pre-ordered mine, but unfortunately I've had to return it. My device was faulty- didn't read memory cards correctly, was overheating and battery life is a joke. Screen is great, general quality is ok. Bestbuy manager was not very nice. Didn't want to return money for faulty device, after a while of unpleasant talk offer store credit... - that why my rating is lower.

Love this device. Plays all my pc games with great performance! The battery lasts about 1 hour when running Ultra settings and turbo mode so that might be the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars. Otherwise just plug it in when you need to.

Probably one of the best purchasing decisions I’ve made all year. It’s been able to play anything I’ve thrown at it. The screen is beautiful and VRR is a god send. Supports Gamepass, PS+, Steam and much more! Pick one up while it’s on sale. It’s an incredible value.

Am impressed I’m using it more than I thought I would using it for Starfield and fallout games mostly only down side is battery only lasts about 30 minutes so might not work as well for long flights? And storage space, games are getting bigger so more storage would have been nice

It is a fantastic device. Runs any game I’ve thrown at it, including some that had difficulty running on Steam Deck. The SD card issue has hit me, unfortunately…but I expect that to get ironed out.

Excellent unit, pretty powerful once optimized (1080p not needed for this screen size). Gotta love the RGB too!

Plays any game that windows can play which puts it ahead of the Steam Deck. Battery life could be better and a few bugs which most new devices will encounter. Portable entertainment device for the avid gamer and a full windows experience.

My new favorite gaming system by far. The portability makes it easy to throw in your bag and game on the go. Only gripe I have is battery life could be better but other than that it's an awesome device for the price. Make sure to buy the Z1 extreme version.

Great system, I have a nintendo switch and this is the perfect combination of handheld and that conencted to a tv to play at a better performance. Love that you can now have pc games more accesible.

I love my Ally, however, the issues with the SD card slot took a star away. The slot is right beneath one of the heat sinks and got fried, im pretty sure my slot is non functional as it keeps running into disk read errors on steam. Thankfully the SD card itself seems okay. I will just have to upgrade the on board SSD to a 2TB model. The second star was taken away because the battery life is lacking, however the form factor is easy to take anywhere and the charger is portable. Hopefully theyll release a battery upgrade kit which I would be happy to purchase. All in all solid handheld PC. Hope they release parts cause this thing seems super repairable.

The Rog is good. It has good quality, the performance is great, good battery life. Can browse the internet with no problem, I recommend to everyone.

Love the ROG Ally. I enjoy gaming but find I do not have as much time to play at home on a PC or console. This brings PC gaming with you in a portable format with decent PC performance. It is not a high end game PC, but it is decent enough to run most games at mid/lower settings very well.

Oh man. After wrestling with the decision to pick one of these up for a few weeks I finally pulled the trigger and I'm glad I did. This little bugger is shockingly powerful. So far I've tested; Cyberpunk 2077 - I used Steam Deck presets then nudged a few settings up, even some light ray tracing. Consistent 40fps average. Like A Dragon: Gaiden - 50+fps with all settings maxed Baldur's Gate 3 - mostly high settings with a few things bumped down, plays great. Cutscenes look as good as they do on my desktop. The Witcher 3 - can do high preset with no changes or ultra with a few things bumped down to med/high, consistent 40+fps. Don't even touch ray tracing, instant sub-20fps. All in all, this thing is a beast. My only complaints so far are with the controller; buttons sometimes stick a little bit (they might be a little loose in the case) and the sticks feel a little floaty. Very comfortable otherwise.
