Add in a portable monitor, and you have a complete gamer laptop replacement

So far the performance available in such a small package has exceeded my expectations with games both looking better and playing smoother than anticipated.

Good but the rog ally x is way better

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs pretty well, hooked it up to meta quest 3 and it ran all the vr steam games on medium ( still better then meta native games).. go with the x if you have the money.. the only egpu these work with are theirs and they expensive.. cost more then a regular gpu...

I had the Steam Deck, and when this came out, I immediately sold my Steam Deck. This decice is better in most ways - the only exception being the battery life.

If you use more then steam and don’t want to mess around in Linux this worked for me right out of the box. After a few months of use I easily replace the ssd with no problems. Battery life is highly variable but I see 1.5 to 2 hours most of the time but I’m not trying to maximize at all.

It was a gift he did not even know he wanted. He was asking for the Sony PS5 compatible handheld. With this he's able to access Xbox, Steam, Nintendo, and PC Games, as well as access his Playstation online friends. If he wanted to he could use this as his laptop with a few accessories. He loves this thing. Took it on vacation with us and I used it also. I wish this was around when I was a kid. He told me: "Dad this was such a great present, I didn't even know I wanted it".

Easy interface, not as confusing as it seems and enjoy the fact I can run my emulators on it. Makes for a great handheld console for all things. All the while watching netflix when I don't want to game. Let's be honest, I love that I can dock it and use it as a computer. Pretty much replacing my computer at this point. Only downside is the speakers don't stay consistent. I plug in my own headphones so I don't get the whole crackle when playing games.
