The ROG Ally with Z1 extreme chip is phenomenal. I have tried multiple different handhelds this past year and the Ally takes the cake. I'm 6'4" 270lbs with fairly large hands so, without a case, the Ally does get slightly uncomfortable after an hour or so of gaming. Since pairing witht the Skull&Co. grip case, I've had absolutely no hand pain even after several hours. If you have larger hands, be sure to factor in about $25 more for a grip/shell and you won't regret it.

Ive been loving every second, even my girlfriend loves it, cant keep her off it lol. The only thing so far im worried about is the sd card problems, im nervous to use one. But will try to with a small sd card first!

I already had the Steamdeck and honestely I didn't want to add the Windows partition and suffer with all the respective configuration. This is an excellent alternative for SteamDeck. You can play Xbox Game Pass games (only PC versions), Steam games, Warzone, etc. You must only adapt to the mouse moving it with sticks or touch pad. Screen is smaller than SteamDeck. Although, you can configure the grapichs in any game settings and you can get all the juice from Ally. BTW, I love both systems. If you don't have a SteamDeck this is an excellent option if you want to avoid all the Windows configurations.

This device is a perfect handheld pc that can run any game at a stable 60+ but its only downside is the battery life.

Great for portable gaming. With each update it keeps getting better. Battery could be better, though i suspect its more of a windows problem

Love this thing. it has definitely been one of my best purchases. I bought the asus adapter from best buy also and together I have a gaming pc and regular computer for regular tasks. Love this thing.

Its a amazing product i love how fast and the fact i have windows 11 in my hands. The fact that i have all my pc games handheld is insane and the peformance is great

I brought 2 one for myself and one for my 9yr old. we both love it so far no issues. my 9 yr old wanted a gaming PC so I decided on this so he can take it on the go.

Got it on sale for $599. DEFINITELY worth that, no doubt about it. Has run every game I play at medium or high graphics settings, 900p resolution, and always 35+ fps. Most games I average in the mid 40s. Highly recommend going ahead and upgrading the SSD straight away before installing games to make it faster and simpler. I used a 1tb SSD and can store plenty of games. Heck of a unit.

It's great, you get a fast APU and great specs at the expense of battery. I wouldn't reccomend to anyone looking to play in enviorments where you cant find a wall outlet though. Armory crate which is the Asus version of big picture mode on steam isn't the best, but going into control panel and disabling fast startup for windows will fix almost all the issues you hear in other reviews. Once the device is setup and you tweak the fast startup option its a great expirence.

A lot of people have complaints about the ease of use of this device, but I do not. I've been looking for a handheld that runs windows and has the specs to run really good games as well as old games. I love that I can essentially replace my desktop and my laptop with this device for most of the stuff I do day to day on a desktop PC. The only con I have to this device is the design of the SDs card slot location as these cards can get hot to be in with and this device doesn't help. Cool off the SD card. It actually makes it hotter. Other than that, I love this device and I would recommend.

The ROG is a great start to something beautiful. If you understand how PC's and Windows 11 then you will understand the negatives that actually can be improved. I took it on a trip and time passed like I was playing at home. My only con that is really impactful for me is when the ROG is low battery it feels like a controller with no rechargeable batteries...lol

thought about purchasing this for a while and finally did. happy with the decision. runs AAA games very well and is very comfortable and portable

Man this thing is so cool. It really does all the games I could ever want to run portably, and the display/ease of use is fantastic. Can't recommend it enough.

Purchased the Ally to be able to play PC games in the go and while traveling for work. This device has almost the same specs as my home PC and is quick. Very quick.

It's everything I was hoping it would be, lots of aftermarket stuff for it to, i bought a dock, a d brand case for it and it plays games great, the fan is a little noisy but all in all well worth the price i got it for. I paid $450
