I got this to test against other handhelds and while the software is still a work in progres. For me I like this one the most because its light, it directs heat away from my hands on gaming, and I dont have to worry about compatibility with games. The only really big issue I have with it is that I can’t use a third-party GPU enclosure as an externalt GPU. I really hope Microsoft comes out with a handheld version of windows so it can free up some processing power 

Lifelong console gamer here, we decided to purchase the ROG so we could continue gaming through our move. It’s very light, and almost everything is customizable. It runs on Windows 11 and the Armory Crate is easy to manage. We downloaded the Steam and Epic games clients and have had no issues. It pairs well with our PS5 controller as long as the game supports it. The storage is great and everything runs smooth; the power up is quick. We also purchased the adapter and can mirror games on our monitors.

I love this unit. I realize it's not for everyone as it's based on Windows 11. However, I supported Windows for 25 years in my career and my desktops, laptops, and tablets are all based on Windows so this works for me. Because it's essentially a handheld PC I can run Xbox Game Pass, EA Play, Steam, Ubisoft, and more on it. They have a nice interface to give you quick access to the apps you've installed. It responds very well, has okay battery life, and feels comfortable in my hands.

The ROG Ally is an excellent on the go PC that is similar to the steam deck. the interface and controller setting does take some getting used to and its unique interface and setting system armory is a helpful tool to adapt the controller to any game. As somebody who is generally skeptical on new handhelds, this is a positive experience and smoothly plays a variety of games in a quality performance. This is an excellent PC to help you work on going through your backlog of games on the go.

Its a really great handheld PC and a beast at running games, it can hook up to my LG 4K OLED TV so i can older games at medium to high settings and can run all emulation, i definitely recommend it as REAL MOBILE GAMING. If you have the money the XG mobile is a great option, just wish it wasn't more expensive than the handheld itself. Only downside is the 2230 m.2 card.

Had this for awhile now, works perfectly fine and love being able to play mobile.

Bought a asus ally z1 extreme. Coming from steam deck it blows the gpu power and screen quality! But i find windows 11 not that easy to use from controls and instaling games. :( the sad part is the battery it only lasted 50mins on forza horizon 5 or 2 fortnite battle and 18% left from 95% If your a techy type of guy this one is for you. Kudos to bestbuy for having awesome customer service!

Amazingly immersive experience with great sound, vibrations and most importantly THAT SCREEN. Make sure to have a power bank ready, this beast thirsts for power.

Wish it had more battery life, but it works great. Maybe a good external battery pack would be useful when traveling.

I find myself using it everyday. Areas of improvement would be better ergonomics and better battery life. The sharp edges can be uncomfortable to hold for a long time.

Great handheld, I will little bit big screen and better battery. Performance and cooling is great.

I bought this for my teenage son. He was looking at the Steam Deck but a lot of his favorite games are not on the Steam platform. After reading many reviews and comparisons for both sysytems i decided to go with this one. My son absolutely lives ut. He carries it around all through the house. It has great graphics, great battery life, great storage, and even more impressive operating speed. There isn't a game he has tried that didn't work flawlessly. Absolutely worth the money.

My experience with Best buy has always been supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!! The employees there always know the information I ask about the products I'm trying to buy which results in me buying. This Rog ally has played everything I've installed on it and bought have I tested it. I got it for my birthday and haven't regretted it at all. If you are used to playing Windows games then you are going to be right at home.

Amazing device my husband loves it, he uses it often. It’s very convenient for traveling.

It looks great, screen is awesome, and its got great potential… but i dislike that the battery barely lasts (no matter how much you tinker with settings), you have to play on medium/low settings, the screen isnt that bright, and it does take time to setup. I come from custom pc building and tinkering with everything. I think i just expected better performance out of it and was let down.

Great handheld. A little fine tuning on mist games but can get most to work. Wish it had usb 4 to connect external graphics card like its pricier brother.

I have steam deck, but its better steam deck, just battery may need more, very noce play, just cant play too long.

People now day want the perfect product . Only con its the baterry compare to others from the competition. Super fast super powerful i can play anything no problems
