Lifelong console gamer here, we decided to purchase the ROG so we could continue gaming through our move. It’s very light, and almost everything is customizable. It runs on Windows 11 and the Armory Crate is easy to manage. We downloaded the Steam and Epic games clients and have had no issues. It pairs well with our PS5 controller as long as the game supports it. The storage is great and everything runs smooth; the power up is quick. We also purchased the adapter and can mirror games on our monitors.

Amazing portable gaming PC. Running on windows makes the experience not great but games run amazing well.

The ROG Ally is an excellent on the go PC that is similar to the steam deck. the interface and controller setting does take some getting used to and its unique interface and setting system armory is a helpful tool to adapt the controller to any game. As somebody who is generally skeptical on new handhelds, this is a positive experience and smoothly plays a variety of games in a quality performance. This is an excellent PC to help you work on going through your backlog of games on the go.

I love this unit. I realize it's not for everyone as it's based on Windows 11. However, I supported Windows for 25 years in my career and my desktops, laptops, and tablets are all based on Windows so this works for me. Because it's essentially a handheld PC I can run Xbox Game Pass, EA Play, Steam, Ubisoft, and more on it. They have a nice interface to give you quick access to the apps you've installed. It responds very well, has okay battery life, and feels comfortable in my hands.

Bought a asus ally z1 extreme. Coming from steam deck it blows the gpu power and screen quality! But i find windows 11 not that easy to use from controls and instaling games. :( the sad part is the battery it only lasted 50mins on forza horizon 5 or 2 fortnite battle and 18% left from 95% If your a techy type of guy this one is for you. Kudos to bestbuy for having awesome customer service!

Great competition for any other handhelds out there. Great battery, great frame rate, great graphics!

The ASUS ROG Ally really surprises due to its performance on gamming, but also serving as a mobile personal computer. I couldn't recommend it more!!!

Get this. Set up is initially cumbersome because its basically a pc but once you get passed that, it out perfones in every way except battery life.

Awesome gaming device with lots of customization but only downside is kind of short battery life, on GTA 5 battery barely last about an hour

My husband sold his steam deck because he likes this device a lot more. He can play almost all his games on this. He plays it every day. No complaints at all.

For all its faults, such as some software being not great when I first got it and AMD drivers being hit or miss with certain renderers I would definitely recommend this handheld. If you dont want to spend that much on an Ally X at this point, until the X goes on sale, this is a great option.

Good handheld for light games. Needs a lot of tweaking if you want to run demanding games and end up having to use lower graphics settings. Battery isnt all that great but it is a gaming computer in the size of a handheld. Ended up returning after seeing so many SD card port problems. My unit wasnt affected but it was only a matter of time.

Great system, but expensive. I would expect it to come with at least a tb storage and better battery life. However, the system is still a great purchase.

I bought this for my teenage son. He was looking at the Steam Deck but a lot of his favorite games are not on the Steam platform. After reading many reviews and comparisons for both sysytems i decided to go with this one. My son absolutely lives ut. He carries it around all through the house. It has great graphics, great battery life, great storage, and even more impressive operating speed. There isn't a game he has tried that didn't work flawlessly. Absolutely worth the money.

I was just amazed by how well the graphics were executed when they came together and it made me feel so much better about giving it to my family for Christmas. I was disappointed that the free monthly Xbox game card didn’t work for me and I was not able to use it in other platforms

The ROG Ally is not perfect, but the possibility to play all the games are amazing. The Xbox app is a game changer, the only negative side is the battery life.

Excellent device for portable gaming and an absolute emulation power house I was amazed with how well it ran games straight out of the box (Starfield, Hitman3, Hogwarts etc..) but after some fine tuning and tweaking with a 1600x900 res mod this thing can run almost anything with the right settings mind you this isn't as easy of a setup experience as the steamdeck but it's well worth it especially since it outperforms it by leaps and bounds. I highly recommend investing in larger internal storage down the line since 512gb will go by in a flash.

Got this for my son, he was iffy. He soon changed his mind.. Nice handheld..I think it’s better than the steam deck.

Works as advertised. Is a very strong little machine. Wish the battery last longer but it is understandable for the amount of power this device can handle.
