Stoked for my Ally. Works great without issues so far. Once you get use to running games through the Asus User Interface games run better as it allows for more options. I purchased with the intent of no longer needing to pack a gaming laptop on trips and so far it hasnt let me down. Specially when coupled with a USB-C dock to add a mouse and keyboard. Turns it from a handheld gaming PC to a true PC

it is the perfect little handheld gaming system, that is also like a very portable windows system, like a handheld laptop if that makes sense

The idea was good but the experience was not so much battery gets ripped apart you have to be attached a outlet to even consider this screen is great 120hz but this thing needs a car battery wait for a 2nd gen product or catch it on a firesale

I take it with me every time I travel or go on a business trip. I can just take it out and play games whenever I want. I love it so much.

Definitely worth the purchase. Better resolution, refresh rate, wider game compatibility. Expect about a couple of hours to update and get everything set up the way you like it. I've tested this with the XG mobile with a 3080 (overkill, I know). This machine is versatile and can work as a desktop replacement. With ASUS constantly working on updates and bug fixes expect this to be your travel gaming system for a long time.

Not a console. It's a PC, it's a wonderful product just way overpowered to be called a console

Best handheld device in the market, buy one and play on the go

Been waiting for this device for sometime after using the SteamDeck for roughly a year and a bit disappointed. Design: 4/5; its a beautiful device and love the button placement on the front, however, the buttons on the back are a bit awkward and can be accidentally hit. Ergonomics: 2/5; This is where the disappointment begins, I saw that ROG went through multiple different molds to find the best one and the grips on this device do not stick out enough to make it comfortable. Don't get me wrong, its light in the hands but holding for long periods of time just does not feel comfortable Software: a few issues that degraded performance after bios updates but it will be fixed overtime so I'm not going to rate this portion BUT there are some issues. Overall, its a step in the right direction but not the flawless execution that many waited around for and was expecting. This would be a 5/5 if the grips were done correct.

My feelings are complicated. On the one hand, graphically it is FAR superior to the steam deck. I had a GTX 1080 on my pc and 12 gigs of RAM, and the steam deck ran better for some games, worse for several. The Ally, especially plugged in, blows both out of the water HOWEVER Set up can be a pain. Switcing apps can be a nightmare It's essentially a laptop with no keyboard, and the onscreen keyboard can be a battle. It restarted or had to be restarted a dozen times when i was setting it up it seems to have forgotten the SD card was there, as others have said it really, REALLY wants me to put powerpoint and excel on the device, since its basically a laptop like i said constantly, pop up windows- especially when buying something on steam- seem to confuse both the touch screen and the "mouse", and i am constantly selecting the window under it basically i buy games from the steam website on my phone, then download via the ally its great for portable plays, looks good on my TV, but it really needs a better interface that stops bombarding me with PowerPoint and MS Word notifications when i am trying to play a game

One of the best handheld gaming PCs available. Top 3. Although it’s not plug and play like the switch it does have some advantages over it. You get a full windows handheld PC in which you can install emulators and play basically any game you want. Just takes a little tinkering.

As long as you follow the instructions from ASUS about updating drivers, this thing runs like dream. It's literally like having a portable Xbox/PlayStation. I've run the absolute gambit against it, from Magic Arena, to Halo Infinite, and Starfield this thing eats it up. The 3D sound is crisp, loud and truly a MUST have experience that makes the games feel that much more immersive.

This thing handles games much better than expected. Really enjoy it for Elite Dangerous, Euro Truck Simulator, and a few others. Docked one star for only one USB port.

I bought this so i can have an alternative to the stram deck if i want to play some windows based videogames. And its been surprisingly a very good experience so far! I had a few hiccups when i was doing the out of box setup with windows and the fingerprint scanner being weird but other than that its a very strong handheld pc!

Very interesting device, but ended up returning. Had issues with SD card working properly. Battery also wasn't great. If I'm going to have to keep it plugged in, I might as well use my gaming desktop. I believe after a few updates, this could be a great device.

Absolutely love my Ally. The ability to play games, and stream via cloud on the go is perfect. Then add having the full abilities of a laptop as well!! Highly recommend the ally.

So far so good, just dont put in a micro SD card in that bad boy/girl just yet due to it frying it. Love how easy it is to upgrade the storage and overall i really like it enough to gifted my steam deck out ( wife made me ) since my wife got me this for my birthday extra accessories included with the birthday package ^_^d *yay*

After 2yrs. I'm still loving mine. Might even pick up the upcoming XBox version that'll be coming out soon.
