But the storage is tiny, navigating windows on an 8 inch screen is miserable, and the thing gets very hot. Wanted to love it but it’s not quite fully realized. I wasn’t willing to deal with the headaches.

Nice console if you cam catch it on a sale

Overall a worth it buy if you would like a customizable experience.

The device only lasts 1 1/2 hours.. they made a new one and I bought this one full priced.. 2 months later it dropped on price 150 dollars and now I want the new one

The Steam Deck is great, but it was frustrating looking at my library and seeing "not commpatible with Steam Deck." All you have to do is login to Xbox, Steam, Epic Games, whatever, download your games and they show up in Armoury Crate. Sure, it's a Windows device, but once you get it setup and running, it's a truly fantastic device.

Better display and more processing power for sure. A little sleeker as well. Comes with the quirks of a windows pc but that was expected. The deck was like a console but not powerful enough. Streamlined but not ready for as much heavy lifting.

I tend to lean more towards portable gaming and the Ally gets me everything from Steam, to Windows, to Xbox, and then some. Add a small dock and you basically have a more versatile Switch. I highly recommend the ROG Ally.

Careful....

So close to great… but just misses the mark

But setting it up was a hassle. And the controllers have an input delay that make it hard to play shooters. Pretty disappointed with this thing tbh. But i feel like after a couple more software updates it could be great.

Unfortunately it needed a repair from a bad motherboard and software update but since I got it back it works like a champ! It syncs to my surface book 2 which is a plus for pictures music etc, Xbox for cloud games and downloads. Lightweight and easier to handle than some of the other handhelds I tried. Great purchase for me!!

My husband really wanted this system for a while and luckily has been the best thing ever for all his gaming needs and wants. Highly recommend if you’re interested in looking into handheld game console that’s like a PC system.

However this is not a plug and play device, you must run updates, tweak settings for people who are not used to PC gaming and troubleshooting it may be a learning curve or a complete turn off. However once you dial things just right, the device is amazing.

The Best Buy warranty is solid if needed. Picked up a 2TB SSD from Crucial for $64 on Resale too. Great combo. Runs Space Marine 2 and MW3 without issue.
