Great handheld amazing performance The only thing I have to say bad about it is I prefer the handheld with track pads

Worked great for about a month but then I started running into issues. My SD card reader died. Wouldn't detect any cards I tried. Exchanged it at BB and hoped that was just a one time thing. My second one had issues with the fingerprint reader and would blue screen. I wiped the OS and started from scratch and things worked better. Unfortunately, the SD card reader died on my second Ally. BB offered to exchange it but I decided to return it instead. It's a pretty good attempt for a rev 1 product but it has flaws. I also don't like that the eGPU option they provide uses a proprietary connection. I ended up getting another windows handheld with an oculink port and used a GPU I had from a previous build. I hope Asus stick with the product and release another one in a year or so with non-proprietary connections and more RAM (16 is not enough, my new handheld has 64).

I bought it for my husband that travels a lot. He loved it!!! The only bad thing is that it heats up in your hand very quickly specially on games with high graphics. Remedy for this is to buy an xbox remote or ROG remote so you can leave the ROG in a nice cool place. You can connect to TV and the graphics are amazing.Don't forget to get an SD card.

The absolute best PC handheld there is. VRR is a game changer.

Awesome handheld device for traveling or home usage.

The ASUS ROG Ally is a great buy, beautiful screen, responsive and snappy touchscreen. The buttons function well (though they are a touch sensitive for my taste) and i do recommend it as a viable alternative for the steam deck. I prefer it to the steam deck though the ergonomics could be better as there isnt enough of a curve on thr grips on this system to hold onto in my opinion.

I’m a huge gamer with all the consoles (PS5, XBOX, Switch) but I’m also a new dad and the ROG ally has been perfect for me as it lets me game through streaming and PC GamePass while still spending time with my wife and kids anywhere in the house and during travels.

Joysticks feel pretty loose with their accuracy. Very floaty. Battery on anything more than a emulator is maybe 45 minutes. Spent more time In settings trying to get a playable frame rate in risk of rain 2, 7 days to die, or csgo. Touch screen is good. However the keyboard does not auto pop up when you use the mouse function on the joystick. Great for emulators but at that rate you’re better off with your phone as the battery will last longer. Wish I had more good to say about this thing. But the 120hz display can’t be used if you want more than 30m of playtime. Don’t get me wrong I came into this not expecting pc performance and was still underwhelmed.

Its a good product but has a few quirks being the first one in this hopefull series of consoles. Its a good concept. Having trouble playing games. Battery dies super quickly. It comes with alot of memory but with games that take up 200 plus gigs thats nothing in this day in age. I installed a 1t micro sd memory card Having trouble getting games to install on it. This system is so complicated to use but its a handheld computer essentially.

These things are great. You can play anything. Windows pc does it all.

Game changer for handhelds for sure….yes it’s got windows 11 but haven’t found many issues (uninstall OneDrive immediately!) I love having all games/launchers in one place. The Ally is powerful had to get used to the ergonomics compared to the Deck but now that I have I’m having a blast with it. If you don’t wanna spend 1000+ for a powerful windows handheld that’s still very impressive just get the Ally.

Simpler to use than a steam deck and I own one, If your the person who wants to just turn on and play with no hassle this is for you, I usually play by an outlet so I'm not too concerned with battery life. The screen is awesome most games im around 50-80 frames Medium settings, Overall Its good for my usecase.

The best portable pc!, I can play every game I want!!!

This is an excellent OEM Windows handheld computer. This isn't like a Switch that you can just turn on and get playing right away. Thinking of it more like a portable gaming computer would be better, since it requires all of the Windows stuff (to include a ton of updates on 1st use through 3 different updaters). Otherwise, it runs great, playing any PC game I want on the go or on the couch.

Essential for gaming on the go. While Windows can’t hold a candle to Steam OS when it comes to handhelds, what it lacks in usability and features it makes up for in compatibility. With Windows you can essentially run anything. The Ally has the horsepower to push past Windows deficits and makes for a great little gaming machine.

It all depends what your intent of use for this product is if you are trying to use this as a full out gaming desktop performance and quality you will be disappointed. But if you are using it to do some casual gaming while away from home or on a road trip or something like that you will be very satisfied with this product. I bought mune first day because i have a feelint these will be hard to come by soon

Xbox gamer here. This thing is absolutely amazing. It’ll play everything. I wanted something to bridge the gap of non Xbox game but with the pick-up and play convenience of an Xbox. This is it. Takes awhile to set up. Took me 2 weeks to get all the emulation how I wanted it. But PC games, those take maybe 5 minutes of messing with graphical setting to get it to run the way you want. I love this thing.
