The way to game.

The games I can play with it are nice but don’t buy it for multiplayer games like I thought I could. Single player games are key.

Based on the issues described, we recommend updating the BIOS. It is recommended that the BIOS and firmware be downloaded and updated for system performance optimization. The update takes a few minutes, please do not turn off the device during the process to avoid a critical problem that the system cannot be turned on. I work 40 hrs per week and gaming is one of my hobbies, I have the Steam Deck and has been very good and I was very interested on the ALLY to see the differences between the two handhelds. The easy interface and easy to use trophy goes to the Steam Deck but the versatility of the ALLY makes it very tempting. However, I was able just to play a couple of games on the ALLY and due work and family the TWO WEEKS that Best Buy gives you to return items made my choice clear: not enough time to spend with the ALLY made me weary of its use and rather stick with the SD. However, if you don't have the SD, just pick the ally, is very good. I am afraid that the return policies that BB has ( if you are not taking the paywall to return items in 30 days) is going to put pressure on the buyers to get an item that unfortunately needs more than 14 days to make a decision. Sucks for ROG because I really like their products and the laptop that I am still using is a ROG.

I think that it was tinkered with to be optimized at first and it has run literally amazing. Best purchase I’ve made and will get an XG mobile 3080 to consistently run high settings in apex locked at a consistent fps. This thing is amazing

I feel like there should be a lot more ease in using it for Steam and other game hubs. Games that are fully controller compatibile still seem to have issues with the ROG ally. Overall best device I've ever owned.

But after a couple of hours dedicated to set up, the ROG Ally runs great and im able to play games like COD on the go. You can stream xbox/PS5 games and download xbox games locally.

The price was right too! This thing is seriously powerful enough to play AAA games at medium settings at 60FPS and is a dream come true in order to use it as a handheld, or plug it into a dock and tv and use it as an everyday computer.

It is thee best handheld device ove come in contact with in recent tech history. Theres plenty of customization options for the device and w11 is a perfect fit. If youre a tech nerd like me, this would def be a needed device to play stationary or on the go!
