Love this handheld. Came from a Steam Deck and I am glad I sold my Steam Deck. This handheld plays all the games I want including call of duty. I have never used it docked so I cannot say how good it is docked. The Armory Crate makes setting refresh rate and TDP very easy.

Fits great in the hands and the ROG software is easy to use to configure each game to have their own performance profile.. Excellent gaming system on the go with amazing 120hz display.

I love this thing! The performance is great. I play games like RDR2, Cyberpunk 2077, and many more. I also use it for emulation (including yuzu) which works wonderfully. The internal gyro is compatible with motion controls which is cool.

Let me preface this with, for standard users, this is not ideal or streamlined to setup. Asus has MANY bugs to work out. Upon initial setup, I couldn't get past OOBE for windows when trying to unit the password for my WiFi. Why? Because the onscreen keyboard didnt populate, as is common. You can force it up by holding tye rear bumper buttons and. Pushing up on rhe Dpad simultaneously, but i had to google that answer. Or you can connect it to a dock and external KB/Mouse and workaround it. Either way, highly annoying and terrible programming from Asus. Then, Armoury Crate continued to crash wanna pop up black acreens subsequently during setup. Overall, i spent 3 hours doing setup, and I'm a power user in Windows. I can only imagine how long it would take a normal user, or how many people just returned it. Likely why there are are a TON of openbox offerings in my locale now. Add in that PS Remote play isnt natively compatible and you gave to install Chiaki or otgerwise, and its a high fidget device that is definitely not ready for the general public. That being said, once you do get it all set, it looks great and plays well across PC games, Xbox, and even streaming. The lack of trackpads is annoying, but battery life is decent, and it is much more powerful than steamdecks top model in comparison.

Excellent performance from a handheld but the fact that windows in hand held isn’t a fun experience. If Microsoft would make a handheld mode exclusively for the handhelds this device would be amazing instead of just great.

Great device. I had a steam deck for a while and lost it unfortunately. So I looked at my options and the ROG Ally was a near perfect fit compared to other devices out there. Performance is great as long as you unstand the limitations of the device.

Totally love it!! Son plays with it all the time he just loves it!! He said it’s like a computer so awesome. His daughter also plays with it and she is 2. So I definitely would give it a 5 star due to the fact that they love to use it and it’s not sitting in a corner not being used!!!

Nifty device, powerful, feels good to hold. It didn't quite have the ease of use I was looking for, and not every game plays on it well. Steam games were hit and miss, but Baldurs Gate 3 ran great. Loading up Xbox live games was a real treat, and Forza 4 and 5 played incredibly well. It's also easy to mod, because it's just a literal handheld computer, and I got Fallout: London running smoothly. If it's your jam, go for it. It wasn't for me, but it might be for you.

Powerful handheld, but I would rather just play on a monitor because of the screen size. Also, the battery life is not very good. Useful for gaming on the go.

portable & easy to use. be careful and make sure games are compatible before buying any game.

Bought this for my nephew, It has great performance and graphics for most PC games that he likes to play on the go. he is even able to play Cyber Punk with the right settings.

I love this thing! Sure, you need to be plugged in to get the best performance out of it but i dont mind that if it means i can play RDR2 in my car or on the plane. Setting it up for the first time can be a bit cumbersome but once you get all the updates out of the way and set up windows you're good to go!
