Cool little handheld PC

The 512 gb sad wasn’t enough so I ended up upgrading to a 2tb which is really easy to do.

Definitely wait for a sale to buy it though

Battery life is decent, sound is amazing, and performance is great. Only issue is the SD card which I just avoid and throw a bigger SSD into it. Other than that, great machine.

It does take about an hour with all the updates. Handles most everything at playable frame rates. Fan is a little loud when plugged in. Overall pretty happy with it.

The playing ability is great to play a wide variety if games on Steam and Xbox. Would highly recommend this system for someone that wants to be able to game independently from a TV. Works great with my Bluetooth controller.

Definitely worth the purchase

Not for the faint of heart when it comes to setup though. Requires a lot of tinkering and the battery could be better. I still use my computer and laptop for serious first person shooter games but I’m loving the Ally.

I use it all the time when I’m chilling on the couch. My girlfriend can keep watching tv while I play. It’s very good quality and I have not had any issues with any title I have tried to play on it

Asuse Thankyou for making this awsome hand held gaming pc. Plays every game I put in it. You do have to do all the updates but that does not bother me because I like tinkering with Windows.

Only thing is dont expect to take it on a long road trup unless you have a power convertor or jackery because this thing eats battery for breakfast.

I have a steam deck as well but much prefer the Ally. Its handles most any game you want and with surprisingly good performance. Armory crate makes customization and performance managing simple.

I found that sports games runs perfect on the ROG Ally. If you’re not tech savvy I recommend you watch the introduction video given to you when you first boot the device.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In all honesty I enjoyed it but I felt like the Lenovo legion go was a better option imo it just feels more like a computer than a handheld gaming console even though the ROG ally has many great features it also has many issues “sd card slot overheating” to mention one it still can be the perfect handheld device for some .. I personally enjoyed the software if used over the legion but the legion just feels like a whole computer in comparison and power is worth the $

It just took forever to come in through the mail. They also never delivered my case that was supposed to come along with it. And I received an email that it was cancelled…really frustrated with that.
