Great handheld for the price. Impressive little unit

But for all you tinkerers this is pretty fun. You can jame a 2280 SSD into it. Not sure on the thermals but with a little cutting it fits. It is buggy out of the box so I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone, but I have personally enjoyed playing with it

It’s a great purchase if you can afford it. Fun times and does the job its meant to :).

And it is a blast... Plays everything i throw at it... If you know windows and are comfortable with that operating system, this is your handheld... If Windows is a big confusing thing to you, a stream deck may be a better choice and more console like...

Bought it for emulation and diablo 4 in bed. Does exactly what it supposed to do. Yeah windows is a little janky to set up, but jf you play pc long enough you will get used to it real quick. Unlimited potential with external graphics card. Simply in love

I absolutely adore this! I have one, I bought one for my daughter for her birthday and one for my husband for his birthday. You can do everything with this little handheld device that you can do with a desktop or laptop.

My husband just got into PC gaming, and he got this as a wedding present. He has not left the game alone for lomger than a few hours since we got it not including sleep.

Its got a 1080p VRR screen and it has the Z1 Extreme APU. It does whatever you want, you want AAA games? Change it to 720p or use the 900p mod thats looks just like 1080p but can run games faster. Ive had it since release and i love it.

Is great if you want to play some pc games on the couch or if you have a strong wireless conection stream over the cloud planning to get some emulators too great addition to a pc set up

Amazing and fun unit. I find the tinkering and setting up aspect more fun than actually playing games. I've had zero issues with my Ally outside of things dealing with software updates. If you're reading reviews on the Ally, just get it!

I had a steamdeck prior to purchasing the Ally. I really enjoyed my steamdeck, but i decided to try this out and fell in love. I was easily able to access my xbox and ps account without issue. All in all this is a fantastic handheld device!!

Great handheld!! Was looking for a windows based handheld gaming console.. love the way it feels, easy to hold. The only draw back is the battery life. If you plan on playing for long periods make sure your plugged into an outlet or external battery.

Excellent handheld. Slightly edges out the steamDeck imo all things considered (def better than msi claw). With news of Rog Ally 2, things are looking up in the handheld market. Well played Asus

Two of my boys have the ROG Ally. They use it for gaming, homework on a dock. They love it. Best Buy was great to work with.

Being aware of the SD Card issue I was cautious with the fan curves and keeping an eye on temperatures. I played in the high 60s low 70s deg with aggressive fan curves. Still it cooked my SD card. Granted I can just upgrade the NVME, ignore the sd card port and move on. Acceptable if this was some cheap device, which is not. Is a pricey handheld with significant flaws and to my knowledge this has not been officially resolved. Unfortunate as I truly enjoy using the Ally.

Great for gaming but it takes quite a lot of time and patience to set it all up before using. However, it is worth it to play PC games on a handheld device. Battery life is pretty terrible.

Works really well and has easy access to xbox game pass and steam.

Love my ROG ALLY. I was a day one purchase, followed all the instructions via YouTube reviewers and never had an issue. I use this on the go and at home when the kids are watching the TV. Used with external monitor. Love it.
