The ROG Ally is an excellent piece of tech. I got it to primarily take advantage of my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to play PC games portably. Set up was straight forward and I haven't used a Windows computer in the last 12 years.

Great power in a small package. I’ve been playing Starfield on it with no issues. Connects easily with Bluetooth to Apple AirPods. Im thinking about using it for Rosetta Stone when traveling. It is a PC after all.

Can play any game I have thrown at it and give pretty decent frame rates. It is truly a gaming laptop in the form of a Nintendo switch. The rog ally has met and surpassed ny expectations.

Got my console day 1 and been enjoying it eversince. Minor setbacks with setup but it keeps getting updated and games play like a dream. This is one purchase I don't regret. Will advice anyone on the fence to go get one. You won't be disappointed.

In love with my console. I bought it open box and it came like new, saved so much money. Great performance. Battery is pretty good too.

I wasnt sure how the Ally would handle gameplay being that its a handheld but this is amazing. It will also let you use xbox game pass and PlayStation pass to play on the go, the Steam Deck wont even let you do this. Would recommend

This is a great gaming handheld as long as you know the tradeoffs: battery life is not great with more demanding games (buy a battery bank) and the sticks on mine have a really big deadzone (I'm hoping there will be replacments available soon).

Has some issues but that’s understandable being that its the first generation. R2 and L2 buttons could be a bit more responsive and have a better shape if that makes sense. Battery life is ok but could be better. But other than that its a good purchase.

This is a great gaming machine for on the go. It is a windows computer - so do not expect anything out of the box. You need to tweak and optimize multiple settings and profiles to get it to run well for various scenarios. That being said, I’ve used it every day. Diablo IV runs great in a custom 18W mode for portable gaming and even better on the 30W turbo mode when plugged in. Xbox cloud gaming pairs well with the device too, allowing you to play games without taking up precious space. It also lets you set the device to 10W silent mode for the longest battery life possible. I am impressed with the versatility of the device. Recommended tweaks: Windows Debloat Tool Shut off most apps from starting on launch Turn off core isolation Set custom 18W profile for the best balance of performance / battery life

Great mobile pc gaming. Windows based and easy to use. Plays any game I need to play on the go. Highly recommend

I bought this when it first came out and love the graphics on it. Battery life is great on it. I can play it anywhere in the house and it travels great.

Love it, great for playing games on the go . I would Highly recommend if you’re slightly computer savvy . If you want something you can plug in and go without any computer knowledge . This is not it .

Had my seconds thoughts about the rog ally because of windows 11 but after a few days tweking with it it became my dialy driver way better than the steam deck having the ability to play my xbox games on the go is a plus

Great system for gaming, the windows OS s a bit clunky and wouldn't be great as a standalone pc replacement but it's a powerhouse for gaming on the go!

Have used this mainly for older games, but have had no performance issues. Some minor windows issues, but thats mainly due to it being a handheld, and Windows not really designed for it.

Fixed Joysticks: Removable joysticks are a fantastic feature like the Nintendo Switch and Lenovo Legion Go. Their tablet mode allows for more subtle use of the device. I rather pull out a tablet on the bus than look like a 3rd grader whipping out a Sega Game Gear and juicebox. Their absence in the Ally is a missed opportunity.

Wow really blown away by this super powerful handheld! I have a steam deck as well btw. This syncs perfect with my xbox so its painless to play. I prefer the grip and lightweight feeling of this. But Steam Deck is amazing as well!
